PREPARATION
Soak in an equal amount of water containing 100g of sugar per kilo of pigeon mix for 12 hours then boil for 20 minutes. Place in a sealed bucket and ferment in a warm place for two to three days.
SUGGESTED USE
One of the best pre-baiting particle mixes for carp, bream tench and barbel, pigeon mix contains a variety of particles in different sizes, ideal for encouraging confident long-term feeding from your chosen species. The larger particles can be used on the hook or add prepared hookbait particles, such as Tigernuts or maize, to the mix when baiting.
TOP TIP
Try adding up to 30% trout pellets or standard fishmeal to the prepared mix for added attraction. This makes a crumbly 'slop' that can be spodded or bait-droppered in or used in a swimfeeder.
