Pellet Baits
Pellets have become the most popular baits for the modern angler and are incredibly effective. They allow many different ways of presentation and combination.
Until recently though the choice of available pellets has been limited to commercial fish-feed pellets and one or two pelleted animal-feed products.
In 2003 Baitsonline further invested in its dedicated production of quality fishing bait by installing a pelleting machine in its existing production facility. Overnight this enabled Baitsonline to radically change the range of available pellets to suit the progressive angler. This range is constantly being added to.
We still continue to supply the traditional pellet lines in the categories above but now offer an exclusive range of specialist pellets to fulfil their true potential as baits.
Below is a quick guide to the Oil Content of Baitsonline pellets. Some of the pellets are high in natural oils which makes their use in cold winter waters less effective. At cold water temperatures fish are less able to metabolise the oil content of the bait. The oils also tend to wax and their effectiveness as attractors is reduced.
High oil baits can still be used safely in cold water but they should be used more cautiously and in lower volumes.
In the warmer months the opposite is true and the high oil baits can be extremely effective as the oil content is highly stimulatory to the fish.
